MEDOWS CPA, PLLC is a licensed New York State accounting firm and is authorized to conduct independent reviews and audits.
As you may be aware, nonprofit entities may be required to submit an accountant's review or accountant's audit as part of its annual filing requirements with the New York State Attorney General. Aside from the statutory requirement, there may be other reasons why a nonprofit would require a review or an audit. Regardless of the reason we are committed to provide quality reviews and audits.
An accountant's review consists principally of inquiries of company personnel and analytical procedures applied to financial data. It is substantially less in scope than an audit in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, the objective of which is the expression of an opinion regarding the financial statements taken as a whole.
An accountant's audit opines on whether an entity's financial statements are presented in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles (or other comprehensive principal system) and that they are free of material misstatement.
Our nonprofit division is committed to performing reviews and audits in a cost conscious manner by organizing, to the extent possible, all the processes and procedures prior to our commencement of fieldwork.
If you need an audit in the near or far term, please contact us so we can begin to get to know each other. |
